The Ohio APCO/NENA Joint Quarterly Meeting was held today at the Department of Public Safety Building in Columbus, bringing together 9-1-1 and public safety communications professionals from across the state for collaboration, updates, and organizational business.
During the meeting, Ohio NENA announced several leadership promotions. Lydia Frey of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office was promoted to President of Ohio NENA, succeeding Brian MacMurdo of Datamark. Elizabeth McQuade of Athens County 9-1-1 was promoted to Vice President, and Lisa Rapitis of Chagrin Valley Dispatch was promoted to Secretary.
We want to express sincere gratitude to Brian MacMurdo for his years of dedicated service and leadership as President of Ohio NENA. Brian's significant contributions to the advancement of emergency communications in Ohio and the Ohio NENA organization has truly made a difference in the 9-1-1 industry.
Additionally, the District 2 Trustee position is currently available. Members interested in serving in this role are encouraged to contact President Lydia Frey for more information.
