Information At Your Fingertips: Making Dispatch Paperless

When seconds count, it’s imperative that dispatchers have important information at a moment's notice. For many communication centers, binders and flip charts are still being utilized to locate that valuable information. But, what if there was a way to have all of that information at your fingertips, and with just the click of a mouse? This course will go over simple solutions on how to take that information from binders and put them into an easy to use, searchable application. The course will introduce the use of intranets and how they can be integrated into your communication center. Applications discussed include: Google Workspace, Microsoft SharePoint, and Google MyMaps, a free solution to create custom Google maps for any jurisdiction or mass emergency incident.
